Yvette is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is originally from New York and relocated to Virginia in 2024. She has been working in healthcare for 11 years in the Emergency department and Per-Operative services (Pre-op, Operating room and Peri-Anesthesia Recovery Unit). She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from University of Texas Arlington and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Dominican University of New York. She is Board Certified by the ANCC. She fascinated by the art and science of medicine and nursing. Yvette believes in developing caring relationships with my patients and their families. Her philosophy on care is patient-centered, using a team approach. She believes that the best way to provide high-quality patient care is to acknowledge each patient's individuality and meet them on their level. Care should be patient-focused with the patient at the center of decision-making. Health, wellness and illness should be viewed through the lens of the patient as a whole. Patient care should be holistic and compassionate with an emphasis on educating the patient while building a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and best evidenced-based practice. Yvette is a member of the International Nursing Honors Society, American Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Partitioners. On her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, cooking, baking, gardening, reading, Pilates and meditation. Most importantly she enjoys spending time with her family & pets.
